Sleigh Beds
Sleigh beds are one of the more unusual kinds of beds that you can sleep in. They are most often found in areas that have some kind of historical French influence. Throughout the United States it is much less common to find a sleigh bed; the part of North America in which you are most likely to locate a sleigh bed easily would probably be around Quebec / French Canada. What is the design of a sleigh bed? Sleigh beds generally have a tall and outwardly curved headboard and footboard, with a flat raised platform as the center part leaving space underneath and providing firm support to the mattress, and without any kinds of side railings. This makes sleigh beds excellent day beds (beds that can also function as a piece of furniture to be sat upon during the day), and also makes it possible to store whatever you want under a sleigh bed and make the most efficient use of the space in your bedroom. The versatility of sleigh beds also makes it possible for you to provide bedding for more people in the same way as a couch by having a piece of furniture that you can use for general daytime relaxation and convert into a bed on short notice.
